Best Zara Perfume
Tommy Bahama Martinique Men Cologne
The Caribbean Sea, or a vacation there, is the inspiration behind Martinique, and its also packaged in this beautiful green bottle with golden lid to reflect that. It has a smooth, creamy scent profile made possible with the addition of blue lavender note and musk with slightly hint of citrus from the bergamot – and these are omnipresent as top notes.
The sharpness is softened with aquatic notes of lavender and musk and this also makes it bright but in a muted way without the typical zest or juiciness. It does have a very beachy effect, with salty sea breeze, with an almost suntan lotion to it.After sometimes the pepper and musk become more prominent, but doesn’t drown out the aquatic and salty accords. Reminiscent of the tropical regions, crashing waves and salty sea shores,Martinique cologne is fresh and spicy masculine fragrance.
- aquatic summer time scent
- no generic citrus notes
- generic ‘ocean air’ top notes
This isn’t entirely aquatic, but any the amount of aquatic notes that have been added make it wearable and we barely got any lavender. It has a very nice dry down that is soapy and mature and really attaches to you well. There is hardly any lavender though and longevity is superb so you get these whiffs of an oceanic, se breeze every now and then.
If you’re fan of aromatic fougeres, than add this one to your collection. It is a somewhat decadent summer fragrance that is filled with mild spices, salty air, woody notes and musk. Right of the top, you get this scent that many have described as a typical room freshener like lavender accord – we’d have to agree here. A few moments later, it was all heady, natural, right and very bergamot. It is suitable for every day, causal use but hardly stands out as something worth showing off.
Tommy Bahama St. Barts Men cologne
This is a citrus Aromatic fragrance for Men, launched in 2007 and packaged in an ocean blue bottle with golden lid and a small accent of a palm tree. Designed for casual wear, thetop notes are blend of lime, tequila, sea notes and agave. The heart notes comprises of guava, green notes and salt with base notes are musk, vanilla and palm leaf.
- good for the beach or hot weather
- typical tropical beach scent
- salty skin scent
At the opening, you have this strong notes of lemon, but it gradually becomes creamy almost coconut aroma. It is supposed to smell like a margarita at the beach – and that’s just the thing that came to our minds then! Along with the sensation on being on a tropical beach. The top lime notes have been paired with salty marine notes and guava, everything is very citrusy and fruity, this can be a bit heady at first but then it settles into a more delightful, fresh scent.
The dry down is heavy and somewhere in the vein of tequila and agave and much less tropical then. And turns into this semi-sweet, salty skin scent. This is made bearable because it suited for hot weather – the kind of you’d find at the beach.
Tommy Bahama for Her EDP Spray
This spray is a floral fruity gourmand fragrance packaged in a round, pink bottles with a flower accent on it. It is designed to be sweet, punchy and feminine take of the beachy, carefree vibes of the men’s colognes. The top notes are blend of mandarin orange, apple and honeysuckle. Heart notes comprises of gardenia, heliotrope and floral notes with base notes contains vanilla, patchouli, praline and musk.
- mild projection and is almost a skin scent,
- light and versatile
- mild longevity,
- generic scent profile
The opening was full of mandarin, juicy apple and sweet honeysuckle. At the heart creamy gardenia blossoms are enhanced with the indulgent smell of heliotrope flower. This smells similar to the Viva La Juicy and the Love scent from Dian Von Furstenberg. When sprayed the longevity was moderate and it sits close to the skin – this is a good thing otherwise it would be too strong to be versatile. Overall, it’s a good and safe scent that is generic but can work for daily use and office.
Tommy Bahama St. Kitts Eau De Cologne spray for Him
This perfume was launched in 2015 as an Aromatic Fruity fragrance for men. The top notes are the blend of mandarin orange, lime and carambola ( Star fruit). The middle notes contains cedar, sea salt and watery notes with base notes comprises driftwood, musk and ambergris. The fragrance is supposed to take on this charming zesty tropical fruits, luscious flower and warm island woods.
- moderate sillage and longevity,
- harsh opening
Notes of mandarin orange, lime are pretty much there as top notes. After sometime joins Cedar wood, watery accord and sea salt reminiscent of being in beaches of tropical region. It dries up with the notes of driftwood, ambergris and creamy musk. The opening is pretty harsh and takes a while to settle down – then it is more likeable.
It is a break away from the Set Sail series that have this boozy, aquatic persona to them. St. Kitts is fruity, but takes on a darker, musky avatar later – a lot like Sean John’s Unforgiveable and Tom Ford’s Costa Azzurra – all three are beach scents wit hints of salt and driftwood. The longevity and sillage is poor and it disappearscompletely with one or two sprays – you need a wholeto more sprays to keep this going. It might work well if you need to liven up a boring day at work.
Tommy Bahama Island Life For Her EDP Spray
Price: $ 38.95
Tommy Bahama’s Island Life For Her is a beachy-oriental floral fragrance for women for 2015, packaged in a beautiful clean bottle with a golden lid.The top notes consists of star anise. The middle notes enriches with peach blossom with base notes comprises vanilla. Fresh and subtle, notes in this are notes are harmonious, deep, well balanced and warm natured.
- good daily wear scent,
- moderate sillage and longevity,
- nothing unique,
- very safe
The kind of notes that this has could easily indicate that Island Life For Her is a strong, cloying scent. It is quite the opposite – where it’s cheerful and enjoyable, and balanced out with vanilla with star anise adding a touch of warmth. It is anything but sweet and you might a whole lot of spice.Definitely one to wear in the summer, but we wished it had morestar anise as the longevity and sillage isbarely there. It is a break from the overly beachy-salty scents and has more of a coffee shop smell – probably the star anise – quite unusual and worth trying.
