Best Vera Wang Perfumes
Vera Wang Look
Look from Vera Wang is a chypre-flower perfume from 2008. It is this incredibly intimate fragrance that has these top notes of mandarin, watery greens, litchi, and golden delicious apple.A subtle heart of white flowers incorporates lily, freesia, and jasmine, to introduce a rhapsody of intense, and daring sensations, provided by musk, patchouli, oakmoss and a few touches of sweet vanilla. This diaphanous elixir has been made for practical, feminine and stylish women of all ages.
moderate sillage and longevity, good blind buy, good for office wear, likable
too Strong and spicy for some, generic
To us, it felt a bit too clean, green and cold and not exactly what you’d call inviting. Since it lacks, any distinct sweetness, floral notes, the VW Look is great for office, with its crisp, clear and simple mix of green apples, clean musk, water florals, and the sillage and longevity is pretty decent. Green apple and freesia has been added to sweeten this perfume but gives it this grass smell over the sweet, floral notes instead.
On the other hand, some people love it because of this where they say it takes on a fresh flowery scent with musk, lily, apple, green notes lasting for a good four hours. We guess this is what gives it that clean and energizing, inoffensive and wearable.
Vera Wang Princess
Princess from Vera Wang is an oriental-floral take with a vibrant nature created through the main accord composed of delicious nuances of cocoa and vanilla. It opens on these lighter, top notes of apricot, tangerine, apple and water lily. Then, this heart of guava, tuberose and tiare flower highlights the benefits of dark chocolate. Finally, the base notes bring powdery traces of vanilla, amber and woody notes. It comes in a beautiful heart-shaped bottle which is of purple color and has a cute crown as a lid.
Extremely pretty and feminine scent, moderate longevity and sillage.
doesn’t last long, lacks punch and is somewhat generic.
A very girly, vanilla scent that isn’t over the top sweet and very innocent, making it a great gift for your daughter or someone trying out fragrances for the first time. The sad part is that it doesn’t seem to last very long, and this combined with the inoffensive nature makes it ideal for work, daily use, etc. Princess is very feminine, pretty and although the chocolate isn’t prevalent, it blends in with the vanilla and is just the right amount to soften the white florals. Princess varies depending on the user actually for some this laid back nature works. But for others, they say that it’s a generic vanilla spread, barely any chocolate and that the floral/fruity notes seem to linger behind. For them it common and conservative and lacks punch.
Vera Wang Be Jeweled
Be Jeweled is meant to be a bold, luxurious, fruity-floral perfume from 2013. The fragrance comes in a bottle that reflects this glamorous nature, in shades of pink and pale violet color, which has an irregular shape and beautiful appliqués that adorn its neck a lot like a necklace. Its top note consists of an irresistible blend of red currant, pomegranate, and fizzy champagne. Passion fruit mixed with pink honeysuckle and pink peony is added to give it that fruity zesty heart. Base note complete the pink feeling with accords of pink crystal-sugar accompanied with a sensual trail of musk and Australian sandalwood.
Ideal for day/evening during summer and spring, moderate longevity.
longevity isn’t great, somewhat generic scent profile
Be Jeweled is an easy to wear inoffensive perfume and stays close to your skin, but the longevity isn’t great though. It might fit someone who loves citrusy, light, floral, fresh, aquatic scents. It smells similar to Bombshell Summer from Victoria Secrets and has a sharp opening, only to disappear ten minutes later.
Champagne notes don’t render properly and all you’re left with is this sour, tutti-fruity, red currant, pomegranate mix and something peachy.
Vera Wang Lovestruck
Lovestruck is from 2011 and is an ode to the modern-day Romeo and Juliet. Created by Stephen Nilsen and Doreen Boll hofer, the top notes are juicy, exotic and highlight pink guava. The deep note of soothing angelica blossom is at the heart where it mixes with tones of intoxicating and sensual tuberose and lotus. The base is solid and finishes the composition splendidly with sheer musk and woody notes provide it with body and roundness. This is when VW began experimenting with new bottle looks, and the one made for Lovestruck is a crystalline one with a tulle bow and deep berry flowers, crowned with a pink and red bow.
good valentines day gift, moderate longevity, and sillage.
can’t be over sprayed, strong guava accord
Definitely, an underrated perfume where the first notes that hot you are louts, mandarin and we’re pleased with the sillage and longevity. The only downside is that you only can use a certain amount of it and too much means that you’ll have to endure that musky base that doesn’t work well for everyone. A bit of an acidic fruity start
There is something unique about it where you think it is worn off and suddenly you get this whiff of powdery, warm fragrance all over again. We mainly got the guava accord and reminded us Dolce and Gabbana’s peony or Light Blue, with that citrus-musk-cedar mix.
Vera Wang Anniversary
Price: $ 57.90
Anniversary by Vera Wang is a floral woody musk fragrance for women from 2010. It has top notes of tangerine, Sicilian bergamot, apple leaves and water notes open with a fresh and light way. At the heart, you have majestic flowers like rose, gardenia and orange blossom. It finishes with the base notes of amber, musk, iris, and cedar.
heavy sillage and great longevity, wear day and night during summer and spring, suitable for women around 30s.
strong and harsh opening, boringly generic
Whether it’s the rollerball or the 100 ML EDP bottle, VW’s Anniversary is a one of a kind green, crisp, floral, woody musk with a note of gardenia that isn’t overpowering, it is green. They dry down is clean, pleasant, and non-offensive. The opening is this strong and harsh floral but once the dry down begins, its this lovely amber-musk mix.
