Most of the John Varvatos colognes might come in the same bottles, but they have these interesting weave designs, leather jackets, and accents and replicate car bodies. The JV signature scent is a simple, laid back and always has leather and tobacco in them, with varying levels of fruits, floral, herb, citruses, etc. For this review, we picked out theTop 10 Best John Varvatos Cologne to see what makes them unique. Our favorite was the John Varvatos Dark Rebel Rider Cologne because it has a creative bottle, had an unusual scent while still sticking to theJohn Varvatos signature style.

John Varvatos Artisan Cologne EDT
Presented in 2009, Artisan is a herbal-citrus composition with a summery vibe. Keep one on your closet for use in the summers as this is one of the best light, citrusy colognes in the game. Available in EDT the 27ml and 125ml formin the JV flacon with wicker accents on the body and stone grey cap.
- for summer use
- mild performance
- doesn’t last
- too citric
- more of a skin scent
In our opinion, it can be a bit too citrusy so be careful about how much you spray on. It doesn’t have the performance we’d like to see. Still, it opens exhilaratingly on this note of tangerine, neroli and woody notes. Incredibly versatile for all occasions and ages.

- better suited for use on clothes
It starts out on a mandarin, tangerine, pomelo hybrid note with accords of tropical fruits like currant, grapefruit, and rhubarb. The opening notes were more soapy, green and clean but not really blue aquatic or had any beach vibes. We thought that it was more of an earthy, dirty aquatic note.
